These wry vignettes are all well worth reading. I like KW's narrative voice as he is aware of being "too busy thinking about thinking," yet finally grateful for his father's sacrifice bent over a wok; being a temporary stand-in for Martin, and reflecting on the fate of the Chinese in Seattle/Aberdeen and under President Xi, always while looking for his own individual way to independence. Will a book of these entries appear some day?
